Looks like Google kicks Bing on my admittedly very simple test. Anybody else care to try out a phrase or two on these two translators? Here's what I entered in English: "You should think before you set that down in front of a car." A moderately complicated idea and a test for "avan" versus "devan."
- Google's translation: Ou dwe panse avan ou mete yo atè devan nan yon machin.
- Bing's translation: Ou ta dwe panse ke anvan ou ekri sa nan devan d'yon machin yo.
Google's translation is better hands down. Bing uses "ekri" and "nan devan"? Goolge uses "yo" instead of "sa" and "devan nan", but not bad. Anybody else want to try a few phrases to see what's going on?
I definitely got better translations with Google. They also have this interesting feature that allows you to suggest a better translation if you're not satisfied with the one they provided.
